‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Conner Newman (Judah Mackey) is really struggling. He is unhappy with life and wants to make a change. How will that impact his mother, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan)?

Conner doesn’t have many friends at his school in Genoa City. He is actually being bullied by his peers. He keeps having to defend his mother, because she had a mental breakdown. He also feels that he has to defend his father and his temper.
He doesn’t want to share this with his mother because she has been unstable. He doesn’t want to cause her any problems. But his silence is bothering her. She is worried and concerned about him. He does end up sharing a little bit with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) about how unhappy he is.
Chelsea wants to swoop in and try to help Conner out, but Billy encourages her to give him a bit of space. But, when she goes up to the apartment to find him, he is missing. He took a bag and left. She is frantic because he ran away.
‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Telling the Truth
Thankfully, Conner runs into Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) on his journey to get away. She distracts him with conversation and by sending him to buy them some drinks at the vending machine. While he is doing that, she calls Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to tell him that Conner is with her.
She talks with him a while about what he is doing and why. He admits he is running away. Then she admits that she called his father. Sally encourages Conner to talk to his family about his feelings and what he is going through. She walks him back to Crimson Lights.
When there, Chelsea is overcome by emotion. She asks him to talk with her about what he is feeling and why he made that decision. He says he hates Genoa City and wants to leave. This seems to be a very painful revelation to Chelsea. How will she handle this rejection? How will she work through this pain?
