‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that relationship problems could be building for Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway).
Despite Devon and Abby’s apparent stability up to this point, Abby took a risk by going against her lover. Devon expected Abby to support him even though he hadn’t even informed her of the purpose of the board meeting.
Abby cast her vote with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), refusing to follow the crowd and vote with Devon. She refused to go along with Devon and Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) plan because she believed that drastically restricting Billy’s ability and Jill’s autonomy would be disastrous.
Abby was able to effectively demonstrate her independence and her refusal to vote in accordance with Devon’s wishes. Though this could be the beginning of deeper problems in Abby and Devon’s romance, she is free to make her own decisions.

It is well known that Devon becomes really upset when others start criticizing him. Devon anticipates his girlfriend to be supportive, which is particularly true with Abby.
The likelihood of Devon and Abby’s relationship failing increases with Abby’s resistance to him. A nice reminder that Abby and Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) are meant to be buddies and nothing more.
If Abby and Devon’s romance fizzles out, the show may draw inspiration from the fact that Daniel and Abby were formerly romantically involved.
Daniel was not happy with Abby’s disclosure of her vote in the lawsuit, but they were able to get past it. I think that Abby is hoping that Daniel’s agreement with Lily will work out because she appears to be struggling with guilt about his suffering.
