‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that while Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is worried about his son, Harrison being sick, he recalls a time when he was a kid and got hospitalized with mono and how scared he was.

He would never want Harrison to feel that and at this moment, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) felt guilty that she was not there. However, Kyle assures her it wasn’t a sleight on her, but his mind was fully set on Harrison.

Of course, this doesn’t stop the conversation, and Diane again apologizes for the things that came out about her past that she was hiding and how she just wanted to make things right between them.

While Kyle accepts his mother’s apology he also states that that better be everything, because if he finds out that there is more to her past, he may not be able to forgive her again.

For the moment, it was a sweet mother-and-son moment, but we wonder if she can afford to be making these kinds of promises and if she is going to let him down again. As we know, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is currently working on getting more information out of her old flame, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). Whether or not she is successful is still up in the air, but if more comes out about Diane, it will be difficult for Kyle to be able to forgive her and move on.

I know I am in the minority, but I’m still pulling for Diane. She deserves as much of a chance as any of the other characters in this town that have done equally or worse things in their lives.

What do you think? Will Diane let her son down again after more information comes out about her past or will they be able to have a good relationship henceforth? Let us know in the comments below.
