‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that something that annoys me about the wealthy residents of Genoa City is how every time they go somewhere, they say they’ll “treat” someone to a coffee or something. These people are worth a ton of money, and they act like buying each other coffees is something saintly.

Before I continue, I know, I’m nitpicking and complaining about the dumbest things, but every time one rich person tells another rich person they’ll “treat them to a cup of coffee” I get annoyed.

The other person typically owns multiple businesses, wears the most expensive clothes, has some overpriced loft, and laughs at money issues. Unless it’s Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), they can treat her to dinner, that is until she starts making the big bucks.

With so much to complain about lately, from the lazy writing, drawn-out stories, and lack of character development, this falls low on the list, but it’s there nonetheless. How nice of one wealthy business owner to treat another wealthy business owner to a cup of coffee.

Meanwhile, a ton of viewers just went through quarantine lockdowns, couldn’t work, or dealing with illnesses, then we get to watch the rich and wealthy walk around tall after buying someone a cup of coffee.

Alright, I’m starting to annoy myself but I felt like this was a dumb part of the show. I don’t know why it annoys me so much, but… it does.
