In fact, the troubled young businessman concludes that he wants out of Jabot and that the family legacy is not as important to him anymore. For the last several months Billy hasn’t been himself, to say the least. He’s definitely seen better days. This is mostly because his “dark side” has come out ever since Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) reappeared in Genoa City. All of the terrible memories of his daughter’s death have come back and Billy hasn’t been able to shake it off. Seeing Adam alive and well has just made things worse on him and his mental health.

However, ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers tease that there might be more to Billy’s troubles. He’s overworked. It’s been nothing but business and no play. That’s why he is going to make an announcement and tell both Jack Abbott and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) that he’s done. Working at Jabot has been just as challenging as it has been rewarding but it’s not for him.
While there’s no doubt that Billy Abbott has given it his all up until this point, he is not realizing that holding the top spot at Jabot isn’t as wonderful as he’d hope for it to be. In fact, it’s been quite the opposite. It’s been nothing but blood, sweat and tears, and worst of all, he just doesn’t care anymore.
So what does this mean for Jack and the rest of the Abbott family? Will the top CEO spot now go to Kyle Abbott, who has been hoping for it all along? That’s what fans can’t help but wonder. Of course, viewers will just have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
