She’s been on the show since she was a small child, so it’s no wonder that ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers find that star Alyvia Alyn Lind (Faith Newman) is having a very hard time letting to. The actress is leaving daytime television to star in a new primetime series called Chucky, which will air on Syfy and the USA Network. Here’s what she has to say.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Alvyia makes it no secret that leaving the show she’s been on since the age of 3 has been very hard on her.

“My last day was so emotional,” she told the publication. “I was in denial over it for so long and then in the last five minutes it just kind of hit me … and then the floodgates. I’ve been on the show since I was 3. That studio holds a lot of memories for me — my whole life! As sappy as it sounds, my favorite part of Faith has been having this TV family in my life who I’ve always been able to come back to. In a way, they’ve been my stability in a business that’s so unstable. I just really love Faith. She’s had a tough life, but she’s always been surrounded by a supporting, loving family. And because of that love, she has always been a survivor.”
Alyvia also said that she’s certainly gotten very close with her on-screen family so much so that she considers them her off-screen fam, too.
“I honestly can’t even talk about leaving Y&R,” she begins. “I definitely can’t talk about saying good-bye to Josh [Morrow, Nick] or Sharon [Case, Sharon] or Cammie [Grimes, Mariah] or Hunter [King, Summer] or Melody [Thomas Scott, Nikki] or Eric [Braeden, Victor] or the crew or anybody!”
Of course, fans will always keep their fingers crossed in the hopes that she does come back!
