‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that star Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) has been on the show long enough that she’s managed to see it all throughout the years.
The actress recently opened up about the ‘glory days’ of daytime television and what the vibe use to be like when it was still all about the glamour. Here’s what she has to say.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Katherine makes it no secret that Hollywood has certainly changed over the years. In fact, she says that she actually prefers the way things were done in the past.

Katherine explains, “It was more magical. It’s not the way it used to be, but that’s what I loved about it, growing up in it and then working in it. I love that era, even in the ’70s and ’80s. Hollywood was fun, and then starting the show was very exciting. I watched CAPITOL, and I used to watch YOUNG AND RESTLESS, and then I did a part on Y&R when I was 18 [as Gretchen in 1981]. I loved watching the soaps. I would be amazed by it because it was such a different feel than anything else, and when I found out that I was going into The Bold and the Beautiful and they were taking the place of CAPITOL, I thought, ‘Oh, this is really interesting.’”
When asked what she loved about joining a soap during the glory days of the industry, Katherine explained, “It was a brand-new show and I was excited about that. It was here in L.A. and I was not going to have to go to New York to do a soap. It was bigger than life, and to know that Bill Bell created the show, because he already had an amazing track record? It was all very exciting.” B&B had a glamorous look from the get- go. “The sets, for sure, were humongous, They were gorgeous; so was the wardrobe. Everything was to the extreme. Everything. Everything that was placed on the set, the props, it was all so gorgeous.”
