Telemundo La Reina del Sur spoilers reveal Teresa Mendoza (Kate del Castillo) scored a major win last time, but the mission is far from over. Meanwhile, we saw Paloma Aljarafe (Ágata Clares) be a hero—sort of. There was also a major problem with the plan to get that evidence against the DEA. Here’s what you need to know.
Telemundo La Reina del Sur Spoilers: Change in plan
First, La Reina del Sur spoilers reveal exchanging their hostage for a second key worked, but not without a lot of trouble. It led to a gun fight that ended with an explosion. Yes, you read that right. It seems Rubén (Beto Benites) had a plan to make the people who kidnapped his son pay. Much like General Hospital gangsters once did, this guy planted a bomb on their vehicle. Unfortunately for him, Paloma happened to see the guy and let Faustino Sánchez Godoy (Lincoln Palomeque) know. And much like our intended victims on GH, he made sure Rubén would be the one blown up when the device was activated. The lesson here? Never try to one-up #TeamTeresa.
Telemundo La Reina del Sur Spoilers: Trouble’s brewing
Elsewhere, we know that Julieta Brito (María Abadi) has her suspicions about the alleged heiress, “Elena (del Castillo).” Especially after she and others snuck in to check out their room. Well, her intrusion not only went unnoticed, but it paid off. Julieta has learned Elena is really Teresa, the wanted fugitive. So, this is not going to go well when Teresa gets back. And there’s another reason for that.
See, a cop was involved in helping her find that information. Once Julieta saw there was a reward for Teresa’s capture, she wanted to cash in. And this cop agreed to let her be the one to do it, in exchange for part of the reward money. So Teresa now has one more obstacle to get through.
Telemundo La Reina del Sur Spoilers: What’s next
As for tonight, La Reina del Sur spoilers reveal the 72-hour deadline is about to run out. Samuel (Fabio Di Tomaso) will surprise Teresa and demand a tuxedo. Sounds kind of strange, but there’s apparently a good reason for it. He’ll want her to get dressed up and help at the Teatro Colon, where the key is being hidden. This is the last key, apparently, they’ll need to figure out where the evidence is.
Given we have until partway into January, we’re not expecting her to get the key and the proof anytime soon. But we’re sure whatever complication comes up, Teresa will find a way out of it.
