Young and the Restless Alum Justin Hartley Wants Nothing To Do With Chrishell Stause’s Drama

There’s a good reason why Justin Hartley has been so quiet amid his ongoing divorce with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Chrishell Stause. That’s because he wants nothing to do with her very public drama. The This is Us actor knows that if he says too much, his words will be used against him. Here’s why.

Speaking to Screenrant in a new interview, brand and reputation management expert Eric Schiffer says that for Justin Hartley, the best thing for him to do right now is to remain quiet. He told the site, “He doesn’t want to face a brutal backlash.

If he speaks out he is going to be asked questions about why he exited his relationship through a text message to someone who has helped raise his child and been his wife.”

Chrishell said in her Netflix show Selling Sunset that Justin didn’t even bother picking up and calling her to tell her that he was pulling the plug on their marriage. Instead, he simply sent her a text.

“I found out because he text[ed] me that we were filed,” Stause, 39, tells her co-star Mary Fitzgerald in a tearful clip from Season 3 of the Netflix series. “Forty-five minutes later, the world knew.”

She continued: “Because of the crazy way in which this went down, people want answers, and I f—king want answers.”

However, Chrishell admitted that this was Justin’s typical way of dealing with marital strife or in his case, divorce.

“In a fight, that’s his go-to, you know? Like, ‘I’m out, I’m out,’” she said in regards to the “This Is Us” actor’s divorce filing. “I hate that kind of impulsive stuff, but I always just thought, you know, that’s just an issue that we work through it. If that’s really what you wanted, there are better ways to go about [it].”
