Sean Burke has stated he was relieved that Braunwyn Windham-Burke came out as a lesbian. This is on the back of the increasing scrutiny that has followed their marital relationship.

When speaking on it to Andy Cohen, Sean went on to say the following comments: “I mean, when I think things are passionate or different, it involves drinking, going out at that time in our relationship. Of course, we have an emotional connection. We’re best friends, and we enjoy each other that way, but that was a part of our relationship that was really hard and really challenging.”

Braunwyn also opened up on how she never felt that she was destined to be with a man, and that included Sean. She said: “[I’ve] never been attracted to men physically — not even Sean.” Ouch! But rather than being distressed by Braunwyn’s revelations, Sean was completely the opposite. He added: “In some ways, it was a relief. It really was, because the elephant in the room is, this isn’t something we can’t fix. She’s attracted to women.”

However, the two do, after all, share a lot together. They have been married for over 20 years and share seven kids: Bella, 20, Rowan, 18, Jacob, 15, 7-year-old twins Caden and Curran, Koa, 4, and Hazel, 2. Just as Sean seems to be coping with it, Braunwyn revealed how she is balancing her parental duties with her new girlfriend, Kris. She told Us Weekly earlier this month how things were going with her new lover:

“Kris knows that I’m with my kids a lot, you know, and that’s hard for her because she wants to be with me. It’s a new relationship, you know, but she also knows I have seven kids. I have a husband. She knew what she was getting into. There’s never been any lying or anything, and so she understands that too.”

Both Sean and Braunwyn seem to have worked it out, despite the never-ending comments they both experience. She said: “I think, for me, the most important thing is when I’m with Sean, I’m with Sean. When I’m with Kris, I’m with Kris. [I] give them a hundred percent of me when I’m with them.”
