According to reports, David made the decision to file after only being married for around one year. As part of that process, the court documents allege that there were simply irreconcilable differences.
It is not exactly clear what the exact nature of the reasons were for doing this, but there are still plenty of issues that need to be resolved. David has allegedly requested that he gets joint custody of the pair’s daughter, Anna, who just so happens to be 19-months-old.
Not only that, but since David and Lesley apparently signed a prenup as part of their marital arrangement, David is seeking not to pay any spousal support. This is another failed marriage for David after he finalised his divorce with his ex Shannon in 2019.
They had almost been married for two decades before the relationship no longer became tenable. Neither David or Lesley have spoken out publicly over the exact reason for the split which is understandable due to the negative media scrutiny that would emerge.
But based on David’s prior relationship with Shannon, he did admit that he was unfaithful to her. That is not to say that this was the case with Lesley, but rather, it is something to bear in mind until things become a lot clearer.
The fans on social media were not surprised by this decision. A certain subset of people did not hold Lesley in high regard. And in the process of doing so, the comments were very derogatory indeed.
One person wrote: “Can’t say I didn’t see this coming. Isn’t she pregnant with their kid? TBH, she was low class and totally after his money. KARMA is a bi**h as they say.”
