Phaedra Parks, who was best known for being on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, has revealed that she has never let her children watch their mother on the show.

‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’: Phaedra Parks Does Not Want Her Kids To Watch The Show

Phaedra is a mother to her two children (Ayden and Dylan) that she had with her ex-husband Apollo Nida. While the show has done wonders for Phaedra’s career, it has not always shown her in the best possible light.

This is especially since we know that her marriage ended and included parts about it on the show. In an interview with Us Weekly, Phaedra stated how she feels the show is not suitable for her children.

She said: “Never. That’s not child-appropriate. I don’t think it was created for children, and so I don’t know if any responsible parent allows their child to watch those types of shows.” On closer inspection, it is wise that her children do not watch it.

Phaedra left the show in the most dramatic of circumstances. She had been fired from the show after starting a rumour that Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker had wanted to sexually use Porsha Williams by drugging her.

Naturally, her children will not want to see their mother being caught up in that. And yet, Phaedra will make a return to a revamped version of the show involving many housewives from the other franchises.

Despite her best intentions to protect her children, they are well aware of their mother. But she has attempted to normalize any interactions that her children may have with star-stricken fans.

She added: “They realize like, ‘Oh, these people don’t know you. They just watch the TV show.’ So they see my memes and, you know, their friends are like, ‘Oh my God, your mom is famous!’ And so, [they are] very tickled by it.”

Phaedra’s stance is something that many parents can agree on, but if she is really serious about this issue, then it makes no sense for her to return to the franchise.

But by doing so, she has ultimately thrown herself into the fire by exposing herself to things that her children may end up seeing. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
