And you probably thought things were completely over for him, huh? Apparently, Prince Andrew still thinks there’s a chance for him to return to public life, despite the fact that his own family doesn’t want anything to do with him. According to a new report, the Duke of York plans to use his Falklands War events to stage his return back to public life. Here’s what you need to know.

Prince Andrew has pretty much been canceled both in public and behind closed doors because of his association with Jeffrey Epstein and a new lawsuit that has been brought against him. However, Prince Andrew has asked a U.S. court to dismiss Virginia Giuffre’s sexual abuse lawsuit, as his legal team beleives it’s “frivolous.” Virginia alleges that she was forced to have sex with the Duke of York on a number of occasions while she was still a minor.

    Inside Prince Andrew’s Comeback Plan

Lawyers for the Duke of York say he “unequivocally denies” sexually abusing or assaulting Ms Giuffre, now 38, and described her lawsuit as “frivolous” and an attempt to “achieve another payday at his expense.”

But seeing how next summer will mark the 40th anniversary of the Falklands war, one royal editor and expert by the name of Richard Eden believes that Prince Andrew might use this as his opportunity to get back in the spotlight.

He put it this way, “I hear the Queen’s second son plans to use his military career as a way to return to public life. Next year is the 40th anniversary of the conflict in the South Atlantic, which claimed 255 British military lives, and the Duke of York will attend commemorative events in the summer.”

A royal source, who spoke to the Mail+, said: “The Duke is determined to take part in the Falklands commemorations. The Falklands was a key moment in his life and he wants to honour his fallen comrades. He hopes this could help pave the way for a return to public life.”
