Netflix ‘Bridgerton’ spoilers find that you should grab your knickers fans because this is going to be one SNL episode you won’t want to miss. Bridgerton hottie and this year’s breakout star Rege-Jean Page is set to host Saturday Night Live on February 20th.
And you know what this means: there are going to be plenty of skits and jokes made about regency-era romance, making things hot and steamy Duke and Duchess style and of course, a scene or two of some serious spoon licking. Here’s what you need to know.
Netflix ‘Bridgerton’ Season 2 Spoilers: Rege-Jean Page To Host Saturday Night Live
Rege-Jean will be joined by rapper Bad Bunny, who will be the music guest. Bad Bunny is best known for his collaborations with the likes of Cardi B and Drake and performed at last year’s Super Bowl halftime show alongside Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. Both stars will be making their SNL debuts.
The Shonda Rhimes-produced Regency-era drama made waves when it debuted in December and has since racked up several awards nominations, including best male actor in a drama series for Rege-Jean Page from the Screen Actors Guild Awards and NAACP Image Awards.
Adapted from Julia Quinn’s best-selling novels about 1800s London society, Bridgerton became one of Netflix’s top original series since it dropped Christmas Day. Rege-Jean Page and fellow co-star Phoebe Dynevor, who plays Daphne Bridgerton, have made multiple headlines for not only their professional lives, but their personal lives, too.
Just last month, there was a report that said both Rege-Jean and Phoebe were none too pleased that their scenes from the show are being exploited on the dark web. As a matter of fact, there’s a new report that says Netflix is having difficulty keeping Bridgerton sex scenes off of porn sites. So far pirated nude sex scenes from the regency romance have racked up hundreds of thousands of views on adult video-streaming platforms.
While many clips have so far been removed, Netflix is apparently having a very hard time keeping Bridgerton’s scenes away from porn sights. What’s more, it also has the series’ main stars, Phoebe and Rege-Jean, utterly upset.
“It’s been particularly distressing for Phoebe and Regé-Jean, two young actors who signed on for the role of a lifetime and did not consent to being exploited in this way,” one insider told The Sun.
