NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) Spoilers reveal the cast is back at work, and Freddie Smith (Sonny Kiriakis) is making the most of it. He recently made a video for his Freddie&Alyssa channel on YouTube to mark their return. In it, he gave fans a look at the set, as well as what a day is like for him. Here’s what you need to know.

While Salem is filled with fancy homes and an idyllic town square, the reality is a bit different. Smith showed fans several of the backstage areas the cast spends their time in. In particular, he showed off his dressing room, which is not exactly what one would picture when they think of an actor’s dressing area. The space is modest, yet modern and has a shelf stocked with random snacks. While he was there, he gave fans a look at the inner workings of the show. He pointed out a speaker on the wall that allows the crew keeps in contact with the actors when they’re between scenes.

When he got to some of the sets, it was interesting to see that empty space where a wall should be. It goes to show the magic of the camera, because it just doesn’t look quite the same when you’re seeing it from that perspective. Another area that looked different was the outside area by the Brady Pub. Smith showed off several ladders sitting there while the space wasn’t being used. We have to say, though, the best part of the square tour was the prop guy. He’s got a great sense of humor, and Freddie talked about how he makes them all laugh.

There were certain areas he couldn’t show during the video. One moment in particular came during the tour of Horton Square. Apparently, there’s a set we haven’t seen yet, so he wasn’t able to show it off. Besides that, he also couldn’t show viewers the control room, as we guess there were scenes being taped that would show in the clip. We’re looking forward to whatever surprises are in store. In the video, you’ll also see the outside of some of the actors’ dressing rooms, as well as learn what actors are neighbors. We think Robert Scott Wilson’s (Ben Weston) door was pretty cool, and the picture on it was fitting giving his character’s current situation.

In addition to the set tour, he also gave us a look into what he typically does in a day. He introduced us to one of the makeup artists as he got ready for a scene. Spoiler alert: He has it pretty easy there. He also showed us the outfit he’d be wearing that day. During the video, he also spoke with several of the crew members about their jobs.
