NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ News: Ron Carlivati Forced To Make Drastic Changes Because Of Ratings Flop?

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers indicate that there are going to be drastic changes made in Salem in the coming months. Or at least that’s what fans are thinking right about now. Seeing how the NBC sudster is still trailing behind The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, and General Hospital, fans can’t help but wonder if being the only soap with new episodes in the can is hurting the series more than helping it. Here’s what you need to know.

Even though both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful have been airing classic and nostalgic episodes for nearly a month now, the two CBS soaps are still doing much better than Days of Our Lives in the ratings race. While there was some speculation that DOOL would come out on top seeing how the series films six months in advance and that they also have enough episodes to last them well into October, that hasn’t happened. It seems as though daytime viewers still prefer to watch classic episodes from all of the action in Genoa City than what is currently going on in Salem right now.

With that said, fans can’t help but wonder if Days of Our Lives head writer and executive producer should consider making new drastic changes to not only the way things are done behind the scenes, but also to the current storylines. Even during a pandemic and with millions of people stuck at home, it seems as though there is still very little interest in what is going on inside the Kiriakis mansion. Do you agree?
