The couple were pictured together when they were spotted having a coffee in April of last year. And during the course of that process, the pair could not have been any happier.
But soon things began to take a turn for the worse after a prior social media post that was deemed to be racist resurfaced that had allegedly been posted by Matthew. And ever since that moment, fans did not hold him in high regard.
With that being sad, his very critics will be glad to see the back of him now that Matthew has confirmed the break-up. In a post to his fans on Instagram, Matthew said: “Nobody cheated on anyone. Relationships end. Simple as that. Creating rumors and LYING on the internet is dangerous.”
Despite him denying that there was no cheating going on, Billie has remained quiet on the actual split. This is entirely understandable since she most likely will want to have some privacy before she plans for the next stages of her love life.
And yet, that did not stop the fans from already making their view clear as they went on to blast Matthew over his behaviour. And by the looks of it, the comments were very derogatory indeed. One person wrote: “Poor Billie she deserves better.”
That backlash did not stop Matthew from going silent. In fact, he responded to his critics by letting them know that their behaviour was unacceptable. He expanded on how his social media was flooded by negative scrutiny.
After all, only he and Billie know what went down. His following comment confirmed as much: “Thousands of people take time out of their day to write the most heinous things on someone they will never know posts is the most cowardly thing you can do…Live your own life.”
