Kim Kardashian has clarified her recent comments in which she claimed that women needed to work harder.

Kim, for her part, was heavily criticized for her comments on the basis that she did come from a well-off family. And by demanding that others work harder in order to obtain a similar level of success as her, there was a feeling that there was a contradiction.
As a result, it was not possible to compare or attain her success for the majority of people. That is why Kim wanted to set the record straight and let everybody know that her intentions were pure.
In an interview with ‘ Good Morning America,’ Kim said: “It wasn’t a blanket statement towards women or to feel like I don’t respect the work or think that they don’t work hard. I know that they do. It was taken out of context, but I’m really sorry if it was received that way.”
This begs the question, what was Kim trying to convey? Well, the reality star wanted to clear up any misconceptions made against her on the basis that her success was due to being a reality star. While that might have helped her achieve a certain level of attention, that was not enough in and of itself.
And this is something that Kim wanted to stress. She added: “And the advice that I would give is just that having a social media presence and being on a reality show, does not mean overnight success. You have to really work hard to get there.”
The response on social media was very critical towards Kim. People were of the view that her comments were simply designed to save face. One person wrote: “she literally told people to get up and work despite the fact that she slaps her name on products produced by people making minimum wage.”
