Kate Middleton reportedly confronted Prince Harry about his betrayal of the royal family right before Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. She knew it would be the last time she would get to talk to Harry before he turned his back on his family again.
Kate was angered by what Harry wrote in his tell-all memoir, “Spare,” about the royal family. His countless media appearances where he lied about the royal family. The goal was to make the public and the press sympathetic toward him.
Kate Middleton Confronted Harry About His Behavior
Catherine wanted Harry to know how much he had hurt his family. He managed to drive a wedge between himself and Prince William, his brother.
Kate was surprised by Harry’s behavior, that he would sell out his family to make a quick buck and some publicity. She thought she knew him better than this.
The Princess has notoriously tried hard to be a peacemaker for William and Harry, and ever since Harry left the royals with his wife, Meghan, their relationship has taken a drastic turn for the worse.
Kate is deeply saddened by the falling out of Harry and William. She was very close to Harry until he and Meghan took off to move to California.
The Prince and Princess of Wales had to bear the extra workload left by Harry and Meghan, as they had a lot of work left over. Royal life isn’t the way many people think it is.
There are constant, never-ending engagements to attend, people to meet, and causes and charities to work for. Harry and Meghan just dropped whatever they were in the middle of. William and Kate pick up the pieces and clean up the mess.
The Rift in the Royal Family is Wide
The rift between William and Harry, and Kate and Harry, does not appear to be ready to be repaired any time soon, certainly not in time for Christmas.
Royal expert Jennie Bond says that neither Kate nor William will be the ones to apologize. Harry must sincerely apologize to his brother and sister-in-law.
Bond explains,
“Catherine was deeply hurt by some of the things Harry said about her, particularly in his book, and unfortunately, because of these entrenched positions where neither side seems to want to make the first move, I can’t see this rift healing any time soon.”
Kate Middleton has strong family values. She has been the one to help William and Harry patch up their relationship. However, Kate is not about to do that again after what Harry pulled.
Kate also wasn’t too thrilled about Harry’s accusations that she made Meghan cry during a fitting for Kate’s daughter, Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid’s dress. Meghan told Harry this, and he wrote about it in his book.
Harry allegedly lied when he said he came home to find Meghan on the floor sobbing. However, Kate had come with flowers and a card for Meghan to apologize to her.
Kate and Harry had reportedly always gotten along well before all this, as Harry once called Kate “the “sister he never had.”
Hopefully, Harry will realize he was wrong to exploit his family and apologize. Until then, there likely won’t be a reconciliation.
