High-Profile Celebrities Are Set To Testify In The Next Round Of Johnny Depp And Amber Heard’s Legal Battle
Johnny Depp has filed a $50 million defamation suit back in 2019 over a Washington Post op-ed about domestic violence which was penned by Heard in late 2018, the bitter dispute between the couple is presently set to go to trial starting April 11. This was after his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, went public with allegations of domestic violence against him. A judge at the High Court last year found the allegations to be “substantially correct.”
The trial is set to begin on April 11 at the Fairfax County courthouse, in Virginia. Last year, the Court of Appeal refused Depp permission to appeal against the High Court ruling that he assaulted Amber Heard, saying his attempt to overturn the decision had “no real prospect of success.” Needless to say, Amber Heard, of course, has not made any comments about the matter.
