‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that GH did the right thing with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) by having them take their relationship as slow as a sloth’s pace.
Typically, this would not fly on the soaps. However, with Cody and Sasha their relationship is believable. Sasha has been through hell and back. First, she was addicted to drugs.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Setting the Stage for Sasha’s Future Karma with Cody
When she began a romance with Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor), he saved her from the evil clutches of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). They had what they thought was a one-night stand, and Sasha became pregnant.
The two of them fell in love, and it seemed like after a seemingly idyllic pregnancy, Brando and Sasha would ride off into the sunset with their baby and live happily ever after. The next nightmare for Sasha was when her baby boy, Liam, tragically died at the hospital.
As hard as it was for Brando and Sasha, they tried to find their way forward. There were some bumps along the rocky ride, and Sasha became hooked on pills again.
Brando was there for her again, and they seemed to be in a good place. Unfortunately, Brando met an untimely demise at the hands of the hook killer.
As if that weren’t enough, Sasha’s monster-in-law, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), stole from Sasha and got her back on pills to get control of her money. She started hallucinating from the pills and stabbed Cody Bell. It doesn’t seem like the beginning of an epic love story, but it is.

Sasha was admitted to Ferncliff, and Cody got himself admitted to rescue her from the heinous Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder). He and Gladys were plotting to kill her when Cody and his friends, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zaprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), saved the day.
Fast forward to a couple of months later, and Cody and Sasha are still dancing around each other and their mutual feelings. We are rooting for this sweet and charming pair, and we know they will be GH’s next super-couple.
Cody breaking Sasha out of Ferncliff set off major Luke and Laura vibes. They have the magic formula necessary to become a long-lasting fan favorite. GH was wise to take their time building up to the next logical step, allowing their slow burn to lure in the audience.
Cody has always believed in Sasha, and she can count on him to be there for her. Sasha’s newfound happiness and butterflies may feel like she is leaving Brando and Liam behind, but Brando would want her to have found someone to share her life with.
Sasha is good for Cody as well. She can help him find the confidence to tell Mac Scorpio (John J. York) the truth about the DNA test. Even though Cody thinks he isn’t good enough to be his son, Sasha can help him find the confidence to believe otherwise. They make a great team.
Fans want to see Sasha finally get the happy ending she deserves, and we think if she sticks with Cody, she will finally get it.
