‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Jon Lindstrom, best known for playing twins Kevin Collins and Ryan Chamberlain on General Hospital, and Cady McClain, playing Jennifer Horton on Days of Our Lives, are getting divorced.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Lindstrom and McClain Met When They Were On As The World Turns
The former couple were married on Valentine’s Day in 2014. They were together for four years before that. They met when they played together on “As the World Turns.”
On ATWT, Lindstrom played Craig Montgomery, and McClain played Rosanna Cabot. However, McClain is best known for portraying Dixie Cooney Martin in “All My Children.”
When speaking about their relationship in December 2022, Lindstrom told Soaps In Depth that they didn’t fall for each other immediately but developed over time.
“It didn’t hurt that we were playing characters who were falling in love, but that’s not necessarily how it happened,”
He explained. Lindstrom and McClain would wrap up their scenes on the show and then take a train together to their respective homes in New York City.
“We often ended up taking the hour-long ride back to Manhattan together and got to know each other that way,”
He said.
“We got to be very good friends before anything else transpired. I just realized I met this amazing person who was hugely intelligent and creative.”
McClain returned the sentiment in a 2014 Instagram post,
“He’s a great friend, a good cook, and a responsible and thoughtful partner in life. He’s a genuine person. He really cares about doing the right thing, about making quality art, and about making a positive difference in the world.”
She continued,
“He doesn’t have to be at the center of everything, either, He knows how to share and how to give props when they are due with no BS. I am so proud to be married to this man. Our marriage is a very sweet and valuable thing.”
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The Couple Are Going Their Separate Ways
For the past few months on social media, it became apparent that the couple were going their separate ways. They haven’t been photographed together or in each other’s posts.
McClain has been focusing on her work in New York City, and Lindstrom is busy with his work on General Hospital, which films in Los Angeles, California. He is also promoting his new book, “Hollywood Hustle.”
Now, the couple took to Instagram and have made a joint statement in a post,
“Cady and John here. We are taking this opportunity to make a short statement about our relationship status. It may be obvious to some, based on our posts, that we’ve taken some time apart. After serious consideration, we have decided that our goals have been taking us in different directions and to end our marriage.”
The two actors have vowed to remain friends and move forward from here on out. McClain and Lindstrom continue to do well on their respective shows, as exciting storylines are prevalent in Port Charles and Salem.
