General Hospital spoilers suggest rumors are flying that GH may be recasting the iconic character Maxie Jones. Kirsten Storms’s future at the ABC soap is uncertain.
Storms Was Recently Taken Off Contract with GH
There was much concern about Storms being taken off contract. GH fans expected that her character. Maxie would become a recurring character.
Now that it has come out that Storms may be experiencing some mental health issues, viewers suspect that the actress may soon be replaced.
Maxie is a key legacy character and central to the “Nathan” storyline. Nathan, who isn’t really Nathan but is his twin brother, Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevy), is deceiving everyone around him.
Everyone except his sister, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiabaud). Cassius is also currently romantically involved with Maxie’s BFF, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Breuning).
Fans were quite perturbed that Lulu got involved with Maxie’s love interest, or so everyone else thought. It broke all kinds of girl code and infuriated the audience.
Now that we know that “Nathan” is really Cassius, it’s a game-changer. However, Maxie should have been the first person to realize that this man wasn’t really her ex-husband.
All the signs pointed to an imposter. Instead of Maxie discovering he’s not really Nathan, junior spy and rookie WSB agent Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is the one asking questions.
Agent Josslyn Jacks Is on the Case, Not Maxie
And trust us. We couldn’t possibly be more sick of Agent Jacks. We prefer to have Maxie on the case. She’s his ex-wife and the mother of his child, James West (Gary James Fuller).
Not to mention, how the hell does Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) not know that Cassius is an imposter? And for that matter, how does she not know that she had twins? Was she in a coma like Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros)?
The whole thing is beyond ridiculous. That said, rumors are circulating that Maxie is being recast. Molly Burnett, who played Melanie Jonas on Days of Our Lives, has been suggested.
Not to mention, Molly filled in for Kirsten Storms as Maxie Jones before. Could Burnett step into Maxie’s shoes full-time now?
We wish Kirsten nothing but the best and hope she comes back. However, her ex-husband, Brandon Barash, who played Stefan DiMera on Days of Our Lives, is Storms’ ex-husband.
We Want Kirsten to Return to Bust, “Nathan, aka Cassius Faison
First, according to Barash, Storms’ mental health is in serious jeopardy. He was even granted a restraining order against her because she’s allegedly so out of it.
Barash and Storms also share a child, their daughter, Harper Rose. The actor claimed that he’s very afraid of Storms being around Harper right now because she’s apparently that unstable.
So, if any of this is true, GH may decide to recast Maxie, considering the brevity of the current storyline involving Lulu and “Nathan.”
Maxie definitely should have been the one to uncover the truth. However, it looks like Princess Nincompoop, aka Agent Josslyn Jacks, is going to blow the lid off this soon.
Unfortunately, Maxie has been sidelined, and Lulu and Nathan have taken center stage. While we hope Kirsten Storms returns to play this storyline out, since she is the only Maxie Jones, Maxie needs to be back on-screen and soon, regardless of whether Storms is playing her.
