The controversy between rocker Neil Young and podcaster Joe Rogan has been hilarious and depressing at the same time. While it’s hilarious that Young tried to cancel Rogan and gave Spotify an ultimatum between choosing him or Rogan, and losing, it’s also depressing that Rogan almost apologized for how it went down.

Sure, I’m not saying he said sorry and bowed down. I like Rogan, but in his video where he thanks Spotify for standing by him he also spoke about putting disclaimers on videos and stuff that seems strange. However, there was something stranger that happened, and that’s when we scrolled down and found a comment from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on the video.

“My thoughts on the latest controversy with @spotify

Edit: I just realized “chuckie’s in love” is Ricky Lee Jones not Joni Mitchell. Doh!”

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Comments On Joe Rogan’s Video About Neil Young Controversy

Johnson came out in support of President Joe Biden and has been very supportive of a lot of things that would seem to go against everything that Rogan said in the video, except maybe the disclaimer part. Johnson commented, “Great stuff here brother. Perfectly articulated. Look forward to coming on one day and breaking out the tequila with you🥃.” Is The Rock getting tired of this cancel culture crap and not being able to talk to people who disagree with you because that would be great.

It also looks like we might be able to expect a podcast between Rogan and Johnson at some point, which would be great. I would love to hear Rogan pick Johnson’s brain about several subjects. Now, it may sound like I’m not a fan of Johnson, and I am, but as many others pointed out in the comments, it seems to go against what he’s said and supported in the past. Maybe there’s more there that we don’t know.
