Donald Trump wanted to march on the U.S. Capitol with his supporters on January 6th last year but was stopped by his Secret Service. He shrugged off the furor surrounding the seven-hour gap in White House phone logs that day, which include the hours which the protestors breached the Capitol.

In an interview with the Washington Post at his resort in Mar-a-Lago he said, “Secret Service said I couldn’t go. I would have gone there in a minute.”

He continued to deny that he destroyed call logs or used burner phones during the hours that it took place. “From the standpoint of telephone calls, I don’t remember getting very many,” Trump said.

Of course, Trump had to tout the crowd size,

“The crowd was far bigger than I even thought. I believe it was the largest crowd I’ve ever spoken to. I don’t know what that means, but you see very few pictures. They don’t want to show pictures, the fake news doesn’t want to show pictures,” Trump said.

January 6th has been blown up by the left as the worst thing since September 11th which is an outrageous claim, meanwhile, the right continues to condone the actions of those involved. While there are those on the right who have said that they were in the wrong and should be arrested, most agree with Trump’s stance.

There’s no denying those people should not have been in the Capitol but to claim it was a terrorist attack comparable to September 11th is insane.

Of course, Trump saying that he tried going and was denied by Secret Service is probably not the greatest move. Especially if he’s considering running in 2024 against President Joe Biden (or whoever the Left has).
