‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that the history-making time jump happened on Friday, November 8th. The move comes just as the show celebrated another year on air. The plot device has been discussed for a while, but the reports were conflicting. Some sources said a year, others said two. Friday finally offered at least one answer. Here’s what you need to know.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Anniversary
In a fitting move, the episode marked the one-year anniversary of Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn). John opened things up with a nice touch. He gave her one of the hourglass center pieces from the wedding. As they reminisce, we learn that things are still in the normal time, as Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) is looking for advice on what to do about Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves). John tells Jack about sitting by Marlena’s side the whole time, accompanied by the hourglass. He advises Jack to do the same thing. Every day, turn the hourglass over and say, “This is the day she’ll wake up.”
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Theme
The hourglass shows up a lot. We liked the touch, given the iconic opening. With each shot, the writers pay tribute to the show’s history. They even make reference to Tom Horton (Macdonald Carey) and the famous phrase that opens each episode. A little cheesy, but sweet.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Questions
The episode led to a lot of questions. First, there’s the dead person Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) finds. We’re also left to wonder whether or not Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) was busted. The last we saw of her before the jump, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) was showing her security footage that shows Jennifer wasn’t alone. Also, we were left with a big reveal when Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) blurts out the truth of Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) pregnancy.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Answers
We don’t get many of them today. It seems the writers are happy to leave us guessing for a bit longer. However, the do give us one detail. When Jennifer Horton awakes, she’s informed by Jack that she spent one full year in a coma. Overall, we really like how they handled the episode. It had nice touches of nostalgia, some mystery, and advanced a couple of stories. We’re looking forward to seeing what has changed in Salem since Jennifer took that fall.
