‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Gabi Is Aware of the Obstacles Between Her and Philip
DOOL spoilers hint that Gabi is about to be swept off her feet. Philip has planned a romantic Valentine’s weekend trip to Miami.
The vacation was initially supposed to be a surprise. However, Gabi discovered Philip was booking a trip and promptly asked him about it.
It was kind of funny because when Gabi busted him, he told her that he had planned a weekend for the two of them participating in a ring tossing contest, and the look on Gabi’s face was priceless.
However, Philip became noticeably and inexplicably nervous once he had mentioned a “ring.” Gabi was thrilled, despite some negative memories of Miami.
Fans may recall that Gabi walked in on Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Chloe Lane (Nadja Borlin) in bed together in Miami.
Yet Gabi was willing to go with Philip since she’s always wanted to visit Beach Haven. She’s determined to make new memories with her new man.
It’s going to be interesting to see how Gabi responds, given the number of obstacles threatening to come between her and Philip.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Gabi Committed Corporate Espionage and Betrayed Philip and Xander
Of course, Gabi is keeping a major secret from Philip. She committed corporate espionage against Philip and Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) after Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) promised her the CEO position at DiMera.
Gabi and Tony are responsible for the unraveling of the Titan-DiMera merger and the state of disarray that Titan is in right now.
Of course, Tony double-crossed Gabi and gave the top spot at DiMera to Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews). If the truth comes out about Gabi and Tony’s prior arrangement and how she helped him sabotage Titan, she’ll probably lose Philip.
Not to mention, she’ll have to face the wrath of Xander, which, as we all know, can be brutal. Even if Philip wants to forgive Gabi, Xander will likely advise him not to trust her.
Xander and Philip have formed a deep brotherly bond, and despite their tumultuous history, Philip respects Xander’s opinion and may listen to him.
Another potential foil for Gabi and Philip’s romance could be Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel). Vivian went to great lengths to keep her son, Stefan, away from Gabi.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Vivian Could Do to Philip What She Did to Stefan
It’s not much of a stretch to think that she would do the same to Philip. While we don’t foresee Vivian kidnapping Philip and holding him hostage in Alamina, we can definitely see her digging for dirt on Gabi.
Should Vivian learn that Gabi and Tony colluded in order to sink Titan, she would undoubtedly let Philip know. And she would happily break them up.
Plus, Gabi is still heartbroken over Stefan’s alleged death. We still question whether Vivian is telling Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) the truth about Stefan or not. Vivian has a proven track record of lying.
Taking all this into consideration, would Gabi really jump into an engagement with Philip? Gabi may also point out to him that they haven’t been dating each other for that long.
However, we know that Philip is entirely smitten with the brunette beauty and will likely convince her that the two of them belong together.
We also have to wonder if Gabi may also factor in what happened to Stefan into the equation. Would Gabi give up her romance with Philip to protect him from Vivian?
If Gabi accepts his proposal, she may be putting Philip and herself in significant danger. She may want to think twice before messing with Vivian Alamain. After all, the woman buried Carly Manning alive (Crystal Chappell).
Regardless, Gabi may say yes if she feels ready to move forward with Philip. She may be rushing into a marriage that could end up imploding for any number of reasons.
