Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Arianne Zucker, who plays Nicole Walker, tells it like it is. She says, “It is really, really hard. What I really is this character has made a huge transition over the years, to actually think about other people and what the repercussions are if this baby is found out and what it could do to him and what it could do to them, and she is willing to take that risk and tell Eric the truth and they will work it out. But for her, she’s taking a new risk in her life and risking this relationship that they finally got to begin to have and a future with her very first love, but she just had to do it and just had to tell him.”

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Eric is going to be completely shocked over the news. Actor Greg Vaughan, who plays Eric, explains that the truth about Sarah’s baby is one thing that he did not anticipate coming out of Nicole’s mouth.

Greg further explains, “He’s a little bit perplexed, like, ‘how do I handle this? And how are you handling this? What do we do? What is the next step?’ I think they are trying to say, ‘Okay, let’s handle this and take this in a new direction. Let’s see how we’ve grown, how we have matured. Am I going to be angry and juvenile, go after Xander? But I think there’s a growth in how they are going to handle this together. And he’s willing to jump all in if she is, and we see the two coming together.”
