‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers indicate that we thought after the last presidential pre-emption, you were safe. But nope! Here he comes again to deprive us of our soaps, specifically, ‘Days of Our Lives’. Come on, ya big orange, what do you have against the residents of Salem specifically that you have to pre-empt our ‘stories’ for your impeachment hearing? We’d rather be watching how the time jump is affecting our favorite characters, not hearing a bunch of boring old men rehash your foibles! This could’ve all been prevented had you behaved, Mister President, but did you bother doing that? Noooo.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: DOOL Pre-Empted Starting November 13 By Donald Trump Impeachment Hearings!
All kidding aside folks, it looks like Days of Our Lives will be pre-empted by the Donald Trump Impeachment hearings starting on November 13th. There will be a break on November 14th but the show will be pre-empted again on November 15th. The bad thing is, there’s been no word on when the pre-empted episodes will actually air. One can only assume that they will be uploaded to the NBC website like other times of pre-emption, but NBC hasn’t really denied or confirmed that yet. We’ll just have to see.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Not again, Donald!
Though, not all soap fans have the internet and the ability to stream. I’m thinking mostly of the really, really old school pre-Boomer fans. Maybe some of them have Grandkids who’d be willing to let Grandma borrow one of their devices for streaming later but what if said ‘Grandma’ doesn’t have any grandchildren? Or any family at all? Then I guess she’s forced to sit there in her recliner and yell at the TV about where her stories are while she listens to said boring old men drone on and on about nefarious things that could have been prevented. Ahem.
Oh well, one could argue that it’s only two episodes, two days a week that have been broken up by one day of regular programming which, okay, yeah no one’s going to die over it. But it’s still an inconvenience and even though I’m a lot younger than the demographic that most soaps fall into, I know what I’d rather be doing and, let’s face it, having one’s shows pre-empted just sucks. But we’ve lived through it before and we’ll live through it again.
Let’s just hope it doesn’t turn into the OJ Trial, remember what a 3 ring circus that was? And DAYS got pre-empted for a pretty long time for that whole mess. This is only 2 days. Remember younger peeps, share your devices (or wifi) so that Grandma, or perhaps just an elderly friend, can view their ‘stories’ later. For any word on the DOOL Pre-emption, I guess we’ll just have to stay tuned!!!
