Alec Baldwin’s social media post concerning workplace safety has been blasted by D.L. Hughley.
D.L. Hughley Calls Out Alec Baldwin For His TONE DEAF Comments On Airport Safety-‘Says The Guy Who Shot And Killed Someone’
The actor was making a comment about an incident that involved an attack between ex NFL star Brendan Langley and a member of the airport staff. As a consequence, Brendan was arrested by the authorities, while the employee was taken to hospital.
In response, Alec did not hold back on his disdain for Brendan, as he demanded that immediate action be taken to ban him. In his now-deleted social media post, Alec said: “The guy working at the airport is the victim. He came to work to do a job.
“The other guy, with his big mouth, is guilty of workplace abuse, where people come to work with an expectation of safety, even civility. This a–hole who hit this guy should be put on a no-fly list.”
These comments did not go down very well Hughley, which is understandable for the following reasons. First of all, Alec has not hardly covered himself in glory when it comes to workplace safety. His prop gun incident on the set of ‘Rust’ was critical, as the film’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins ended up dead.
Not only that, but Alec’s apparent lack of remorse in the aftermath of the incident has not gone down well with the general public too. Secondly, even if Alec felt that this was the case, then some may argue that he deserves the same punishment.
In response to the comments, Hugley remarked: “Says the guy who shot and killed someone who was just coming to work!#IronicMuch #SitThisOneOutAl.”
The fans on social media were equally outraged with Alec. People felt that he had no right to comment about this. That is why they demanded that Alec was banned from the workplace too. One person wrote: “Well if that’s the case, yo a– should be banned from film studios…and gun ranges.”
