Josh Duggar, who has been accused of having child pornography images in his possession, has just seen his appeal to dismiss the case being rejected in a court in Arkansas.

While that may have put an extra burden on him, it looks as though Josh is still feeling positive about it all. In the picture here, we can see Josh exiting the court with his wife, Anna Duggar.

They both look very happy, despite the bad news that they have been given. On closer inspection, the two do not have a choice. Anna is on course to have her seventh child with Josh, and should he end up going to prison, then she will have to prepare herself for being a single mother.

And the only way of doing that would be to put on a positive demeanour to dismiss the clear anxiety that she will be feeling. And when we look at the court documents, it is clear why Anna is worried.

In the court documents, the evidence looks damming. The documents said: “Joshua James Duggar, 33, allegedly used the internet to download child sexual abuse material.

“Duggar allegedly possessed this material, some of which depicts the sexual abuse of children under the age of 12, in May 2019.” But given that Josh has pleaded not guilty, Anna will have to brace herself for a trial.

As of now, the trial can be expected to go ahead in November of this year, barring any delays caused by covid. However, because Josh has pleaded not guilty, if he is found to be otherwise, then the sentence could be higher.

On current reading, this could be anywhere between 20 years in jail and a fine of up to $250,000. The consequences of this would be severe as Josh would be leaving his six children behind: Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith, Mason and Maryella.

Josh has his work cut out if he wants to prove his innocence, but given what we know so far, the evidence is firmly against him. The trial, though, will put an end to this once and for all.
