Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that the British soap will be the first to include the coronavirus pandemic into one of their storylines. The reports have revealed that the story will include Ed Bailey and Aggie Bailey, as the latter is forced to self-isolate after showing signs of the deadly virus.
It is an unprecedented step in the ITV soap as they very rarely touch on subjects that are actually happening in real life. The soap is renowned for staying away from political issues, but it is believed that this matter was too hard to avoid. Corrie has already returned to filming, with episodes at present mostly featuring half and half scenes that were shot before and then after the pandemic.

The storyline will see Aggie have to self-isolate in a hotel away from her family after it emerges that one of the people that she works with had been showing symptoms of the virus. It will ally with the fears that Ed has had over recent weeks, as he has constantly revealed that he thinks that she is working too hard at present.
It will be a tough road for the pair after Aggie is forced to stay away from her family. Their problems start as it is revealed that their car has broken down, which leads to Abi Franklin and Kevin Webster admitting that she can borrow their car. Abi reveals that they are grateful for the work that Aggie does and it is the least that they can do.
Coronation Street Spoilers: Matters Worsen For Family
The idea that they are grateful for the service that his wife does leaves Ed humbled, as he thanks Abi and Kevin for their kindness. Ed later plans a surprise virtual party for the family to mark his and Aggie’s 30th wedding celebrations. However, those plans are put on ice as Aggie reveals that she needs to self-isolate for two weeks after one of the other doctors has shown symptoms.
However, fans will be delighted that there is a happy scene between the pair later in the week as Ed pulls out all the stops to mark their occasion. Their virtual date is a massive success, and Aggie reveals that she is excited to be spending the next 30 years with her husband.
