CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that due to COVID-19, all of this week’s episodes will be flashback episodes. The soap has run out of pre-recorded new episodes, so until everyone can get back to work, we will be treated to older episodes from the 90s.
CBS has been doing flashback Fridays for the last month or so to try to extend their episodes, however, it just didn’t outlast this pandemic. With everyone being quarantined, we will have to wait a bit longer to see any new episodes. Plus, we’re all still unsure just how much longer this quarantine will last. We could be rewatching older episodes for awhile. However, it’s not a bad thing.

CBS ‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Out Of New Episodes – Will Air Flashback Episodes All Week
On ‘The Young and the Restless’ official YouTube page, they posted a video of what we can expect to see this week. They uploaded a video titled ‘Katherine The Great’ with the caption, “This week Y&R celebrates the role that made Jeanne Cooper a legend, Katherine Chancellor. Five classic episodes and five epic performances, on The Young and the Restless.” Being someone who’s relatively new to the soap world, I’ve been loving the flashback episodes and seeing all the greats who have been on the show for decades. Plus, it’s just a time capsule, seeing a world we use to live in.
Fans who were around for this have been commenting a lot though! “YESSSS!! Can’t wait to see Mrs. C!!”, “We need some more of these cat fights between the older restless members, Jill & Ester need have it out like they used too. Surely with those two living together in quarantine inside of the Chancellor Mansion there has got to be some friction between them,” and Mrs. C was The BEST EVER!!!!” This has certainly set some high expectations for me as a new viewer.
