CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers indicate that a lot of fans are all now asking the same question: if Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) can come back, then certainly her ex-husband Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) can too, right? Or at least, that’s what viewers are hoping for. Here’s what you need to know.
Both ‘Young and the Restless’ fans and even Daniel Goddard himself were shocked when it was announced that he would be let go from the show. According to multiple reports, one of the reasons why producers decided to give Daniel Goddard his pink slip was because they figured there was no future for his character Cane Ashby on the show. With Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) gone and Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) also gone, Cane didn’t have a family in Genoa City.

However, that all might change now that Lily is back. In fact, ‘Young and the Restless’ spoilers say that Lily wants to start over and make a name for herself once again in the city that she not too long ago ran away from. And even though spoilers also indicate that she might be getting up close and personal with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), there’s always a good chance that Cane Ashby can come back to stir up a little drama. Seeing how it was Billy who let the cat out of the bag about Cane’s kiss with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Cane can always come back to get his revenge on him (along with some other things that he did). Needless to say, ‘Young and the Restless’ fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!
