We have had a busy couple of days, haven’t we? Like we all expected, something big happened at the Newman Gala. In a celebration of fifty years of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden)’s accomplishments with Newman Enterprises, it’s logical to put the future of the company in danger.
While Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes) stabbed the wrong target due to him choosing the wrong time to look away and the shadows, he’ll manage to cause a boatload of chaos as everyone is expected to point fingers.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victor Takes Charge
Victor taking charge after Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is injured is only natural despite police and a doctor in attendance. As will him blaming everyone there but his own crack security team that let people just walk in no matter how that was dressed (this was a black-tie affair, wasn’t it?). He’ll blame Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) because Billy’s his favorite whipping boy. Sure, if Billy hadn’t been there it wouldn’t have happened, but what about the guy that did the actual stabbing?

He’ll care about catching and ripping Ripley apart, but first, he’ll make sure Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) is blamed as vehemently as Billy for what happened to his daughter.
While this goes on, it’s expected that it’ll start a storyline where Billy will be more front and center, perhaps even filling in for Victoria at the head of Newman Enterprises.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Billy’s Forced Maturation
CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers have noticed that as hard as Billy has tried to become his own man, much like Victor had, his mother Jill Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton) will take over and force him into line. She mentioned she thought Billy needs a purpose, so she may use Victoria’s injury as just that.
First, she probably won’t hesitate to use blame as an effective weapon to break Billy. It’s really what everyone’s been trying to do for years, so why not give it another go?
After that, she’d have to talk Victor into allowing him to run the company until Victoria is healthy. That won’t go over well, but what choice does Victor have? He could come out of retirement, or he could accept what he hates in Billy is that he sees himself and allow him this opportunity.
If this happens, it’s going to be interesting to see them working together, but it may also be a way for Billy to gain Victor’s understanding and grudging acceptance.
Of course, nothing they’d say or do would be worse than his own guilt, so that could go a long way to settling him down into a life he doesn’t want but accepts as what he has to do.
It’d be an interesting storyline to see them run and what they intend to do with it.
Also, where does this leave Amanda? Ripley will most likely find her, and after thinking he killed her it could set off a bigger psychotic break for him.
Plenty of action could be heading our way, so better buckle those seat belts while CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers bring you more speculation, spoilers, and updates as they come.
