CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers finds that fans have spoken. While Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has certainly been with a lot of beautiful, young, and certainly restless women in Genoa City, Y&R viewers believe that it’s time to put a fork in his relationship with Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan), and for several different reasons too. Not only do they believe that their storyline has gotten dull, but that it’s also time for Adam to move on to ‘greener pastures’ as the saying goes. Here’s what you need to know.
Of course, ‘Young and the Restless’ fans have been sounding off about this, with the majority of viewers agreeing that when the show comes back, it might be a good idea to see Adam and Chelsea part ways. Many comments from fans have included, “I think Adam is better off without Chelsea. He needs to break from her. His heart and soul have always belonged to Sharon. I want Adam to reunite with Sharon,” along with, “It’s time for Adam to move on from Chelsea and everything else in his life right now. This is such a dull and forgettable story that I had to think for a moment who the hell AJ Montalvo was. I guess Y&R’s still gonna suck when it comes back… I’m being so spoiled by these glorious pre-2005 repeats!”

Another fan puts it this way, “He’s good looking and hits some of the emotional stuff with Adam. The problem is the writing. He’s all over the place. Trying to make amends, then trying to kill Victor, then trying to make amends again, then blackmailing Victor. Consistent writing is what’s needed.”
