Britney Spears has called out her family for not being there for her during her conservatorship battle.
Britney Spears Blasts Her Family Over Their Lack Of Support In Her Conservatorship Battle Against Her Father Jamie Spears
Britney, for her part, won a monumental court decision when the judge ruled that her father, Jamie Spears, should no longer be in control of her affairs.
While that was a huge victory in and of itself, the fact that she remained on her own in fighting against her father, it made her realise who she could count on.
In a post to her fans on Instagram, Britney shared a picture of a woman who was drowning to the depths of the sea. The post was captioned with the following comments: “This picture is everything to me !!! It makes me want to cry.
“If you’re like my family who says things like sorry, you’re in a conservatorship… [they] probably thinking you’re different so they can fuck with you.”
This post raises the question, who can Britney count on aside from her fiancé Sam Ashgari? It looks as though, based on this post, Britney is no longer on good terms with her sister Jamie as well.
Although she had reportedly helped to look after her kids, she was silent on the huge trauma that Britney was going through. While it is important to have people around you that are looking out for you, the importance of family should not be downplayed.
And yet, Britney chose to praise someone that may not be known to her fans. She thanked her attorney Mathew Rosengart, who had been so instrumental in convincing the courts that Britney was ready to live an independent life.
Her following comments confirmed as much: “Thankfully, I found an amazing attorney Mathew Rosengart who has helped change my life.”
It is great to see Britney finally telling her truth to the fans who had been there with her for so long. She had been forced to stay silent for so long, but now she has the power to say what she thinks.
