British Royal Family News suggests that Prince William and Kate Middleton have a number of reasons to be angry and upset over the recent Tatler Magazine profile that didn’t shine a very bright light on the Duchess, but if there’s one reason they are particularly upset about, it’s that the magazine apparently shamed her over her weight. Not only did the Tatler profile suggest that Kate Middleton was upset with Meghan Markle for leaving the royal family and ultimately dumping all of her workloads on her, but she also suggested that her thin frame was a result of all the stress she’s been dealing with. Prince William and Kate Middleton are so infuriated over all of the claims made by the magazine that they’ve reportedly decided to take legal action against the publication.

With that said though, one royal insider says that William and Kate are also “disgusted” about the line that describes the Duchess as “perilously thin,” while also comparing it to the eating disorders that Princess Diana suffered from.
One royal source close to the situation said, “It’s sexist and woman-shaming at its very worst,” while also adding that “It’s ironic that the Royals’ favorite magazine is being trashed by them. Tatler may think it’s immune from action as it’s read by the Royals and on every coffee table in every smart home, but it makes no difference.”
However, Tatler’s Editor-in-Chief, Richard Dennen, insisted he “stands behind the reporting.” While Buckingham Palace has shot back at the claims made, they haven’t made any further comments about the situation.
