I said it a few times in previous posts about Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman”, Anna Paquin felt underutilized. She had a prominent role it seemed, playing Peggy Sheeran, Robert DeNiro’s character’s daughter.  Throughout the three and a half-hour film, Paquin’s character Peggy has a total of six words and instead ignores her father basically throughout the entirety of the film. Peggy has felt her father was up to no good, a hitman for the Bufalino crime family, after seeing him beat a man in front of her for allegedly shoving her at the local grocery store. It seemed like a veteran actress…

The Mandalorian released episode four today on Disney+ and it was a fun episode. We were introduced to new characters, new worlds and a throwback to Star Wars: Return of the Jedi in the AT-ST that wrecked the forest moon of Endor. Some reviews are calling it the slowest episode yet, a “filler” episode but I’m not sure about that. It was a trip along his journey that had meaning. We learned more about his past when he does remove his helmet and we met Gina Carano’s character Cara Dune, an ex-soldier that helps The Mandalorian aid some villagers with…

Joe Pesci Returns To The Big Screen In ‘The Irishman’ Joe Pesci was and is a superstar of the acting world, from his iconic role in Goodfellas as Tommy DeVito to one half of the duo, The Wet Bandit’s in Home Alone and now with his triumphant return to the big screen as Russell Bufalino in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman. The Irishman released today on Netflix and after a healthy three and half hour viewing I’m still astonished. Martin Scorsese’s latest mob film is a back and forth between emotion and awe. Robert DeNiro’s performance is incredible, to say the least, portraying himself throughout the span of a lifetime. When viewers see the long runtime it may dissuade some, but it is not really a film, it’s more of a miniseries wrapped up into one view.  We are taken through several decades of a story, seeing flashbacks, hearing several sides of the same story and witnessing some incredible performances that…

This is Star Wars! The Mandalorian episode two has given us so much to enjoy. It feels like an original trilogy story from the aesthetics to how the scenes are shot. We have a lot to talk about this episode so let’s get into it! Opening Battle Much like the first episode we are treated to the Mandalorian bounty hunter kicking some butt. After showing mercy to the baby Yoda at the end of the last episode, we see him on the long trek back to his ship. He senses someone nearby and three people jump him. Next, we get…
