‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Are There Visions Of GRANDEUR In Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) Head?

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers indicate that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) may be adopting a new view about himself and his role in Jabot empire. While he initially was just glad to be trusted enough to be invited to return and to be given a co-CEO role, he is seeing himself now as the only sibling who will do right by the family company. Is this true?

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: On One Side

When Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) began to fight against her brother Jack Abbott (Peter Bergeman) because of his new wife Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), Billy took his brother’s side. He felt Jack should be free to love again and choose Diane if that is what his heart desired.

He did feel concerned when Jack decided to give Diane a job as Chief Talent Officer, without consulting anyone in the family. To Billy, that seemed to support Ashley’s point of view that Jack is blinded by his love for Diane. It appeared to Ashley that Jack was willing to make decisions that would hurt Jabot.

Billy was still behind Jack and agreed to help support him and Diane in their endeavors to push back against Ashley. He tried gather information about what Ashley and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) were planning.

‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: On the Other Side

At Diane’s suggestion, Billy agrees to “pretend” to support Ashley and Tucker in their quest to take Diane down. If he does that, he can gather information about what Diane is planning. He does this for a while and is very convincing.

However, it now appears that Ashley may have buried the hatchet. Diane saved her life by administering the Heimlich maneuver, and Ashley feels conflicted now about Diane. She doesn’t trust her, but she also recognizes that Diane did something selfless for her, so she may not be as bad as she though all along. Ashley has taken off on her honeymoon trip to Paris and will process her thoughts and feelings about this situation.

Billy however is very concerned now. He read Diane’s post-nuptial agreement and believes it is too vague and may give her ability to take a lot of the company if something happens between her and Jack. Billy wants to put a rule in that she would not be able to get a position on the board until they’ve been married for ten years. Jack thinks this is preposterous.

Billy truly sees now that he is the only one who is unencumbered by a suspicious spouse, and he is the only one who wants what is best for Jabot. He believes that he should be in charge. What do you think? Are Billy’s concerns valid? What will happen if she tries to take control?
