CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nate Hasting’s (Sean Dominic) Sudden Concern

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers divulges that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is still all about doing what is best for him, even if he proclaims that he is out to help his family. There is always another motive behind the scenes.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) Orders

When Nate and Victoria discover that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) has offered his company to his son, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), they have to change their course. They have wanted to acquire McCall Unlimited for quite a while. McCall actually offered to sell to Victoria but when a mysterious person bought up his debt, he cancelled negotiations with her. When they find out that he offered it to Devon, they have to do whatever they can to make sure that Devon won’t purchase it.

Nate believes that if Devon will just buy McCall Unlimited, then it will mean that he will give up suing his sister Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). Nate says that even though he hurt his family before, he really wants their best and wants them to end up with a peaceful solution. Victoria says that is not an option because acquiring McCall is what is best for Newman Enterprises. She does not want Devon to get his hands on it and Nate needs to help ensure this.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Nate’s Tactic

Instead of confronting Devon, who he knows doesn’t trust him, Nate tries something different. He overhears Lily and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) talking about the lawsuit and the rift. Afterwards he privately asks Daniel if he will help him try to patch things up between Lily and Devon.  They aren’t talking to Nate, so he is sure that he can’t approach them. Daniel could speak on his behalf, helping to encourage them to make peace.

Nate is really talking to the wrong person though. Daniel has Lily’s ear, but she is not the one who is suing anyone. Her brother is suing her to separate the companies, but she would rather they stay together. Nate must think that if Chancellor-Winters stays together, then Devon won’t need to purchase Tucker Unlimited. But Lily is not the one pursuing litigation. Daniel tells Nate to buzz off but does let Lily know that Nate is prowling around.

Why do you think Nate approached Daniel? Why do you think he try to ally himself with someone who really doesn’t have any influence on Devon to either drop the lawsuit or walk away from McCall Unlimited?  What goal does Nate really have in mind? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
