CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) Spoilers indicate that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) have their work cut out for them. They had a plan and got everything lined up, and now they have to start from scratch.

Victor and Victoria had a plan to take over Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) significant debt. They wanted to control his debt so they could then take over his company. Victoria was especially interested in seeing him suffer. She wanted to surprise him by assuming debt and then controlling his future. He put a kink in her plans by coming to Newman Enterprises first and offering his company for sale.
He realized that this could be the way out of his problems and give him a fresh start. What shocked everyone was that some stranger bought up his debt. McCall came to tell Victoria that he was rescinding his offer. They struggled to figure out who bought the debt. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) suggested that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) may have been the culprit.

Victor and Victor confront Ashley directly to see if she bought the debt and why. She does not admit that she bought it but deflects and suggests that they consider Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). But she wants to know what they even have in mind. They want to buy the company and tell her that they are prepared to pay a substantial amount of money for it.
Tucker and the person who bought the debt will be handsomely compensated. Ashley says that they have to discuss it directly with Tucker, who she knows is currently offering to sell his company for a song to Devon.
They realize after the conversation that they have to change tactics. Victoria believes that Ashley bought the debt for emotional reasons. She thinks that Ashley has suppressed feelings for Tucker. She believes that she could see a glimpse of this in Ashley’s countenance. Victor and Victoria have to think of a new way to get what they want.
