Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s documentary has been rated with a poor 43 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, as American reviewers have been quite critical of the show.

Harry And Meghan’s Docuseries Gets A Dismal 43 Percent Rating On Rotten Tomatoes

The Sussexes discussed the events behind their determination to resign from the British Royal Family and embark on a new life in America in a six-part documentary known as ‘Harry & Meghan’. What’s more, Harry had his sights set on Prince William, as he went into greater detail about how their bond had broken down.

With that being said, the reviews were quite damning. Reporter Helen Lewis had this to say: “This recurrent motif gives the whole documentary the unfortunate air of a late-night message left on your ex’s voicemail, insisting that you are happy to have moved on, and are having a great life.”

Nevertheless, it is important to read those comments into a broader context. First of all, the docuseries did break records. According to reports, over 80 million people tuned in across the globe when it aired.

Therefore, this would demonstrate that there is still a demand to see the Sussexes even if there is not a lot of positive reaction. Secondly, there is always the adage that all publicity is good publicity, despite the fact the reviews have been underwhelming. After all, the Sussexes have been able to put their side of the story across.

The fans on social media had a lot to say. A certain subset of people were of the view that the rating scores did not matter. This was on the basis that Harry and Meghan had managed to get their side of the story across which was the most important thing.

One person wrote: “Even if they score O people are on their side. Truth is out and just STOP.” As long as Harry and Meghan are happy with the end result, then that is the most important thing.
