Despite the growing demand for Kim Kardashian to remove herself from Balenciaga after the brand released an ad campaign with BDSM themes, Julia Fox has come to the star’s defence.
Naked Julia Fox Defends Kim Kardashian For Not Cutting Ties With Balenciaga By Blaming Men-‘Women Being Blamed For A MAN’S Mistake, Internalized Misogyny’
On Monday, 28th November 2022, the 31-year-old Fox posted TikTok videos in which she looked naked and lashed out at ‘men being the issue.’ This arrived in response to Kim’s statement that she had been left ‘shaken’ by the brand’s campaign, but stopped short of cutting ties with them.
Instead, the Kardashian made it clear that she would be re-evaluating her position moving forward. In her comments, Fox said: “The women who are associated to the brand professionally are getting so much pushback, it’s almost as if they’re the f*****g child molesters.
“Why are women being blamed for a MAN’S mistake? It’s the internalized misogyny for me.” This was not the only point of contention that Fox wanted to clear up. She also responded to the haters, who suggested that she had been connected to Balenciaga in some way.
While there is no denying that she has been pictured wearing some of the brand’s stuff, she made it very clear that she had not been financially incentivised in any way by the company. As such, she could not understand why she was getting so much hate directed towards her.
Fox’s following comments confirmed as much: “Respectfully I’ve never cashed a balenci check so pls keep me tf out it thanks. I’m seeing a lot of comments and tags, so first things first, I am not their spokesperson. I have zero relationship with the brand, I’ve never even been to one of their shows.”
The fans on social media blasted Fox. A significant proportion of them could not understand why she would not slam Kim’s failure to have cut ties with the brand immediately. One person wrote: “She had a taste of @kanyewest , now she defends his ex and Balenciaga pedo campaign. Just brilliant.”
