According to reports, a Hermès Birkin bag can be worth anywhere in the region from $8,500 to over $300,000. Therefore, the model did have a very valuable item on her hands. While she managed to retain the bag and keep it away from the culprit, the fact of the matter is that Julia was not unscathed.
This was due to the fact that the bag did receive some extensive damage. In the TikTok video here, we can see that Julia is showing off the gray bag which has visible signs of wear and tear.
She can then be heard saying the following: “I love her, but she’s been through a lot. It’s a little hard to see there, but she was actually attacked by a machete. I’m not kidding — that actually happened to this bag — and me.”
Although the bag was damaged, there is nothing to suggest that Julia suffered any physical injuries. In addition, it is not exactly clear if there is an investigation going on in order to see whether any more information can be brought to light.
While that may be said, there is no denying that this has had an impact on her mental health. Her following comments confirmed as much: “I don’t know how I f***ing managed to like hold on to this. You know I was holding on to this Birkin for my life.”
The fans on social media were shocked by her revelation. This was primarily on the basis that they could not envisage someone doing this and demanded to know more about the story. One person wrote: “JULIA PLEASE TELL US WHAT HAPPENED, I’M SO INVESTED.”
