90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After – Jenny Slatten Never Learned Hindi and Fans Slam Her

On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, we have seen Jenny Slatten and her husband, Sumit Singh going through some struggles now that they are married. Sumit told his parents that they had gotten married and his mother pretty much disowned him.

While they were talking, Jenny just sat there and had a blank look on her face because she doesn’t speak Hindi. Fans of the show are curious as to why she would move to India and not learn the language. She is getting quite a bit of backlash these days because of it.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After – Fans Throw Shade At Jenny

Jenny and Sumit have been together for ten years and many viewers of the show feel as if this is long enough for her to learn his language. During very intense chats with his parents, Jenny has no idea what they are saying and it would be helpful if she did. She doesn’t seem invested in his culture by not knowing any of the languages and many fans think that his parents picked up on this too.

90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After – Jenny Slatten Never Learned Hindi and Fans Slam Her

One Reddit thread got started about her lack of interest in the language. One fan wrote, “I’d think after so many years being with someone who speaks a different language, you’d put in the effort to learn to better communicate.”

Fans went on and on about how if she learned the language, she could even learn to better communicate with her husband. It is clear that she seems to have no interest in his culture or language and this has a lot of fans angry with her.

There are other fans that disagree and say that learning a new language is incredibly hard and she doesn’t have to learn Hindi since her husband speaks English. Jenny has had other partners in her life that spoke other languages and it is clear that she didn’t take the time to learn those either.

We have seen other couples on the show who never learned the other language and just relied on translator apps in order to talk to one another. This seems very impersonal and rude for not wanting to learn their partner’s language. Will Jenny ever try to learn any Hindi or is she just going to rely on Sumit for help? Does this mean that she doesn’t go anywhere without him to help her translate?
