‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that Stephanie Johnson, the daughter of Steve ‘Patch’ Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) will be returning to Salem later this year.
The racecar driver has been played by a slew of actresses, but is most fondly remembered as portrayed by brunette beauty Shelley Hennig.
Hennig’s Stephanie was last recurring in 2011 (she took over the role from Shayna Rose in 2007) and made an appearance again in 2017 for one of her parents’ umpteen weddings to one other.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Stephanie Johnson To Return To Salem… But Looking A Little Different
Since her days in Salem, the former Miss Teen Louisiana (2004) has moved on to the CW’s uber popular Teen Wolf along with Netflix’s spooftacular The Woman in the House Across the Street From the Girl In the Window (as the Girl in the Window) so when the legacy character returns, audiences will be introduced to Abigail Klein, the 5th actress in the role (including twins Amanda & Jessica Gunnarson who originated the role as baby Stephanie in 1990–92).
Klein has a string of credits to her name, with bit roles in 90210, Glow, American Housewife, S.W.A.T (and more). This will not be Klein’s first foray into daytime either. She once played a nanny on The Young and the Restless.
While we don’t have an exact date to look forward to, to see Stephanie back home with her parents (no word on if she’ll bring her brother, Jailbird Joey (James Lastovic), who currently lives with her in Seattle), we do know we will get our first glimpse of the returning character in the upcoming Peacock spin-off series Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem.
“We’ll see her first in Beyond Salem,” head writer, Ron Carlivati announced. “One of the great things about [Beyond Salem] is that it gives us an opportunity to catch up with people who have left town, given that almost the entire story takes place in these other locations. This is an example of that. It will be interesting to find out where she is in her life and what might bring her back to Salem.”
Stephanie will have to get to know her new half-brother, Tripp Dalton Johnson (Lucas Adams) and fans can’t help but wonder if her old flame, Philip Kiriakis (Kenneth Jay Johnson) may finally return to the canvas once his ex is back in town.
