Speculation has started to emerge over the reasoning behind Pete Davidson’s decision to pull out from a space trip with Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin flight.

The comedian was set to take part in the flight which was meant to go ahead on March 23rd. But given that the organisors announced that the date would be changing, Pete confirmed that he would no longer be able to come on board.
In an official statement, the organisors said: “Blue Origin’s 20th flight of New Shepard has shifted to Tuesday, March 29. Pete Davidson is no longer able to join the NS-20 crew on this mission. We will announce the sixth crew member in the coming days.”
Despite that announcement, fans were not convinced by Pete’s apparent clash in schedule. It is claimed that the comedian is currently filming for his movie entitled ‘The Home.’ And given that he has not been on SNL recently, his absence could feasibly have been due to conflicting schedules.
And yet, there is also another alternative. It is no secret that Pete has had to deal with the social media attacks coming his way from Kanye West, which recently saw him lash out at the rapper in which the comedian ‘bragged’ about being in bed with Kim.
Not only that, but Pete even offered Kanye the chance to meet him, so that the duo could hash this out once and for all. With so many things clearly on his mind, this could have been a reason for him pulling out.
One source said: “I know that Pete has been training for the flight, I’m not sure what happened,” while another remarked: “I know the party line is that it’s a filming clash, but I’m not too sure.”
There is still plenty of time for Pete to eventually go on this venture. The timing may not have been right, but he has already met Jeff Bezos which shows that he does have a commitment to the cause.
