‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that this is not working out well… who would have guessed? While we’ve been focusing on Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) a lot and how he’s not reacting well to this at all and even trying to make deals with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) behind Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) back, let’s talk about Abby for a minute.
Abby couldn’t wait patiently for her lovely husband to come home before she wanted to start a family. She was constantly in a hurry and wouldn’t slow down to think about everything for two minutes. It’s this lack of clarity and thoughtfulness that led to this mess.

If she had waited until Chance returned, he could have readjusted before being thrown into being a father. Sure, she didn’t know what would happen, but either way, he would need some time to readjust to life in Genoa City. And don’t get me started on the letter. You know, the letter from Chance that said, “go ahead, get a surrogate and start a family without me.”
Abby should have taken it slower and been more patient. Because of her short-sightedness, she threw Chance into something he wasn’t prepared for and already made him feel guilty about not being here when Dominic was born.
While the entire storyline is a mess and should be stopped, they’re making everyone look as dumb as they possibly can while they do it. Surely, these characters are smarter than that? Still, even with the letter, Abby should have definitely waited, it’s a crazy thing she jumped into alone.
