The star, who is best known for being Reese Witherspoon’s daughter, was recently engaging in an Instagram Q&A with her followers.
During the course of this interaction, Ava spoke on various intimate parts of her life as a way to get closer to her fan base. And one of those things included none other than her preference for boys for girls.
In response to a fan question of “Do u like boys or girls?” Ava replied: “I’m attracted to… people! (Gender is whatever).”
Despite those comments, it is clear that Ava does perhaps have a preference for men especially since she went official with her boyfriend Owen Mahoney in 2019.
The duo came across each other, while they were at UC Berkeley and their relationship has gone from strength to strength. So much so that Reese has already met him, as well as the fact that the pair have gone on holiday with the rest of the family too.
And yet, there has always been scrutiny surrounding Ava by virtue of the fact that her mother is one of the biggest Hollywood actresses in the world.
Therefore, anything that she does end up doing is automatically scrutinized more because of her mother. And that is something that Reese has been trying to educate her daughter on in the best possible way.
In a prior interview with InsStyle, Reese remarked: “It’s an odd situation because I didn’t grow up famous. So [Ava is] living an experience that I did not have, and so are my sons.
“We are lucky enough to have friends who grew up in Hollywood and can help give them advice on how to navigate.”
If Ava wants to avoid any backlash surrounding her personal life, then she could not be in a better position given that her mother has had to deal with this throughout her career.
As a result, she will be primed to face any obstacles that come her way and deal with any relationship issues away from the media by keeping it in-house.
